Item: This is one of the very first conscious efforts of combining jazz to the modal system of ragas in India! 1968! The jazz here is more of swing and early bop styles and just an incredible amalgam is displayed with the composers Shankar & Jaikishan's genius and incredibly masterful and tasteful playing of sitar legend Rais Khan!
The copy here is the truly impossible to find very original pressing and in amazingly clean condition! This month we also have the "twin brother" of this LP: this "Raga Jazz" record is of the North Indian variety; one year later TK Ramamoorthy put out another extremely interesting counterpart of this of the South Indian variety! (Two disciplines of Indian music very far apart from each other and way way rarer than even this LP!). So, make sure you also check that LP out!

also:
I used to write many details about my sale policies, refunds and guarantees but apparently nobody seems to read or take notice of them anymore -- instead, everyone runs off to eBay and PayPal's dispute systems.
Fine with me, as I always do my sales refund guaranteed anyway, but please be honorable human beings and pay when you bid and just give me a slack by "contacting" me before rushing to machines to complain if there's something bothering you.
Thank you!
