Description
This is a genuine CRIA Canadian music industry Gold Award for sales of the album “You Could Have Been With Me”. It was issued in 1982 to Sheena’s manager, Deke Arlon. This framed & glazed award is in a gold aluminium frame measuring 41x51cms.
Overall the award is in good condition. There are some light scratches on the perspex/frame, slight bubbling on the label, and some blemishes on the record itself (mostly around track 3), however, these are not always noticeable as it depends on the viewing angle & lighting. So overall the award looks great when it’s on display, especially considering it’s over 40 years old.
CRIA (Canadian Recording Industry Association) awards are the Canadian equivalent of British BPI & American RIAA awards, and are presented to artists, producers, record companies and others in the music industry that contributed to the success of a record. This is an official music industry award and should not be confused with any kind of replica or ‘limited edition’ that is sold direct to the public.
This is the last of Deke’s awards that I have. So a final opportunity to own a super rare piece of Sheena Easton memorabilia.
