The albums listed with the "LAB" prefix are direct disc recordings.  These albums are made by recording each side of the record live without interruption as a "master lacquer disc" is cut.  No tape recorder is used, thus creating a significant reduction in distortion as well as an increase in dynamic range and phase linearity.  The albums with the "ST" and "TLP" prefixes are manufactured from the original two-track analog tape masters.  The "LTD" suffix denotes numbered, limited edition albums pressed in quantities limited to 5,000 pieces worldwide, per title.  All Sheffield albums are mastered and cut by Doug Sax.
