Up for bid is a genuine ultra-rare vinyl copy of Futurist by Shellac (Steve Albini, Big Black). Also known as the "Friends" album, this music, which originally was written for a Canadian dance production, was never released for sale to consumers. Instead, the band pressed a small number (800-1000) of LPs (no CDs) and handed them out to friends. The front cover of the record has a list of all the friends (there are a lot of luminaries in there) and that recipient's name is circled. This is an instrumental record (there is no singing) and there are no song titles. The vinyl and cover are in absolutely immaculate MINT condition. This is *not* a bootleg.

A few notes: Yes, the name on the record cover is circled and no, it's not anyone famous. I have blurred out the cover so the name can't be seen to protect the identity of the original owner. THIS NAME WILL BE REVEALED TO THE BUYER ONLY, *AFTER* THE SALE.

I will include insurance and Delivery Confirmation. This item will be packed with the utmost care and I will only ship it via Priority Mail or Express Mail (I'll do First Class International, but Priority is probably a better, safer choice). If you would like to use a shipping option other than what you see listed, please contact me. I will NOT ship this via Media Mail, sorry.

Shipping

The LP will be carefully packed with bubble wrap and shipped in a sturdy custom cardboard LP box. I'm going to go all out to pamper this one. Some people like the record removed from the sleeve for shipping to prevent seam splits. I'm more than happy to do that. Just let me know.

This will be mailed within one business day of payment. Shipping costs include shipping materials, insurance and delivery confirmation. I'm not out to rip anyone off on exorbitant shipping charges. All shipping charges are calculated based on the actual weight of the item. If it's less, I will adjust that on the invoice I email to the winning bidder. If it's more, well, that'll just be on me.) If it costs less to ship than the price quoted, I will refund the difference. If you'd like to use a shipping option not shown on the listing, please let me know and we'll try to work something out.
