Description
Rare original copy of the Shellac LP "Futurist". As difficult as it is, I must part with this absolute gem. This is an EXTREMELY RARE, impossible to find Shellac LP titled "The Futurist" by Steve Albini and his band. This LP was limited to only 800 copies, and was only issued to close friends of Shellac. Issued in 1997, this LP has never been commercially available to the public. The album was originally used as music for a performance by a Canadian dance troupe. The music on The Futurist is divided into ten total movements. The cover of the album contains 779 names, one for each pressing of the album. At the bottom of the cover is a blank space for anyone not named on the back cover to write his or her name. Cardboard cover, heavy vinyl. Very difficult to find! Vinyl looks unplayed, labels also perfect without spindle marks. Case is completely wear free, except for minor bending with 2 corners. Also, printing looks like it has a slight smudge on cover, but it is related to the printing process, not wear to the cover. This is about as good a copy as you are ever going to find, if you are lucky enough to find one at all as I was.
