Going into a My Bloody Valentine gig is a lot like preparing for battle. The sheer noise of it involves taking good care of your ears, but there's always been a juxtaposition to that wall of distorted sound in that it was somehow very pretty. she's green (stylised in lower case) pick up on that better than most and dial up the pretty parts to make one of the dreamiest and most melodic shoegaze escapes of the decade so far. The band are relative newcomers with this being only their second EP and no album out yet. Chances are copies of these will go up as the band's stock rises as they motor forward out from their native Minneapolis and up around the world thanks to the power of their excellent swirling guitars and falsetto vocals.
