Description

Shirley Collins & Dolly Collins, Athens in Eden. Original UK 1st PRESSING GATEFOLD SLEEVE ALBUM, released in 1969 on the EMI HARVEST record label, catalogue number SHVL 754.

 

The original record gatefold sleeve is in EXCELLENT condition, clean solid and complete, with no rips, no tears, no missing or raised sleeve laminate and with no sleeve creases. Only faults on the sleeve are all slight/minimal and include one extremely light laminate surface crease on the top right hand corner of the front cover, and a few small spine laminate creases, and some general but minimal record sleeve surface wear owing to age and handling.

 

Record comes with the original record company PATENT paper inner sleeve, this is in good condition, has some seem splits, some light creasing and some handling wear.

 

Record labels are in EXCELLENT+ condition, superb original label print, with only a few faint spindle hole marks visible, showing album has been lightly played. Record playing surfaces are EXCELLENT in appearance, there are a total of five ultra light fine line/hairline surface scuff marks on the whole record (most are barely visible). The record play grades EXCELLENT, there are only a few light occasional/infrequent low level background clicks in a few places when played on the B-side (almost negligible, but mentioned), the sound displays no surface noise, no crackles, no loud clicks, and does not jump.

 

OVERALL A QUALITY RECORD SLEEVE WITH MINIMAL WEAR ALONG WITH AN EXCELLENT PLAYING ALBUM.
