From the opening bars of “It Will Stand” you know that the Showmen were a kind of group with a powerful leader singing "Roooooock Rooooolllll, Roooooooock, Roooooooollll..." is simply stunning. Then Norman Johnson (the future lead vocalist General Johnson of Chairmen of The Board) comes in telling us why rock and roll will never go away, no matter what people may say and how they disparage it!.
This single was their follow up to that massive hit and hit the streets in January of 1962. The topisde here is “The Wrong Girl” and it’s flipped with “Fate Planned It This Way.”
