Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Original 1966 first pressing of a scarce little seen (mint) '60s Northwest garage LP by Don & The Goodtimes
Don & the Goodtimes started life as a Pacific Northwest rock & roll band stomping out frat & garage rock and hard R&B in the manner of the Wailers and Paul Revere & the Raiders (Don Gallucci, the band's keyboard player, had played with fellow Northwesterners the Kingsmen for a spell and added that memorable electric piano part to "Louie Louie"), but by the time they signed with Epic Records in 1967, they had cleaned up their act, landed a regular spot on the Dick Clark-produced pop series Where the Action Is ... before the signing with Epic is the feature here, their more raw recordings, and what you get here is a truly strange mix of styles. This band tried to make everyone happy, and they are basically a garage band with a garage sound in the album production.Most notable on the album is a great take on the famous Sonics blaster, "The Witch". The Lp is a mix of rare 45's and outtakes dating back to the band's first Wand recordings in the mid '60s, heavily influenced by rhythm & Blues and the stylings of The Wailers and their ilk, typical NW garage sound. The Lp includes (as mentioned) tunes by local favorites The Sonics but also "Turn On Song" by The Counts as well as "Straight Scepter", a great organ dance number and special props to the short 'London Bridge' drum solo. "Make It" is good too.
