Description:

Up for sale is an incredibly rare, audiophile-grade TEST PRESSING LP from the premium remastering house Speakers Corner Records (Germany), manufactured in April 2017. This release features the ultimate, benchmark 1959/1960 studio recordings of master violinist David Oistrakh performing Jean Sibelius' Violin Concerto in D minor, Op. 47, alongside "The Swan of Tuonela", Op. 22. He is accompanied by the magnificent Philadelphia Orchestra, conducted by Eugene Ormandy (originally released on Columbia Masterworks MS 6157).


Hailed by classical music audiophiles for its intense emotional depth and flawless sonic reproduction, this authentic factory test pressing was manufactured in an extremely limited archival batch to evaluate the pure analogue mastering quality prior to production.


It comes complete with the official Speakers Corner "TEST PRESSINGS" production sleeve along with the detailed technical description insert sheet.
