This is a rare opportunity to purchase First Offense from Sid Rumpo, released 1974 on the OZ Mushroom (black) label, in Near Mint condition.

This gatefold cover has photos and lyrics inside, as well as photos on the back (see all condition details below).

Recorded at T.C.S. Studios, Melbourne Australia, February 1974. This is Sid Rumpo’s 1st and only LP. They also put out a 7" single (45rpm). Please see my other listing for the single.

Sid Rumpo, from Perth (Western Australia), played blues and rhythm’n’blues. Such was their talent and powerful live performances, that they supported B.B. King, John Mayall and Willie Dixon on their Australian tours.

Band Members – Robert Searls (lead vocals, guitar), Mick Elliott (guitar, vocals), Owen Hughes (bass), Noel Herridge (drums, congas), Ken Wallace (acoustic and electric piano, percussion)

This is a strong album which highlights the tight sound of Sid Rumpo. It has a mix of blues and progressive rock, dual harmony guitar lines, great piano and the excellent gravel throated voice of Robert Searls.

Details / Condition

• This record is from my own collection.It has always been kept inside a plastic ‘zip’ record bag and stored vertically in shelving.
• Catalogue number Mushroom Records, L35109, 33 1/3 record.
• Record shiny black, no scratches or scuffs, in Mint condition.
• Record labels in Mint condition.
• Cover front, back and gatefold are all in Near Mint condition; the top corner on the open edge of the front and back covers have the slightest crease, the gatefold has a couple of very faint whiteish marks in the brown border area which appear to have been created in the printing process, these marks are barely visible and I had to get the magnifying glass out to have a good look.
• Inner sleeve anti static type, in Mint condition

• The record will be packed between 2 sheets of corrugated cardboard and despatched in an Australia Post Padded Bag.
