Description
Storyville STLP-301, “Jazz at Storyville” with Sidney Bechet, soprano sax; Vic Dickenson, trombone; Buzzy Drutin, drums; George Wein, piano; Jimmy Woode, bass; from the mid-1950s. This is a 10” LP. Both record and jacket are in superb condition. Vinyl plays at NM with virtually no background sound; laminated jacket is almost like new though with some age toning: seams are strong, corners are square, and there are no writing or stamps. Numbers are “C Jam Blues”, “Crazy Rhythm”, “Jazz Me Blues”, and “Lady Be Good”. The recordings are from October of 1953. Shipping is $4.00 media mail, $8.00 priority mail within the continental U.S.; $20.00 regular airmail to the U.K., Europe, Japan, Korea, and Australia; elsewhere inquire. Additional LPs in a single package are $1.00 per LP domestic, $2.00 elsewhere. For overseas shipments, I strongly recommend registered mail for $12.00 extra. Many old records are now practically antiques and should be treated that way. This LP will be packaged with the record inside an inner sleeve but outside the jacket; both are placed inside a sealed outer sleeve and shipped inside a special oversized handcrafted mailer with padding on all sides. It is designed thick enough not to be caught in a postal conveyor belt and strong enough to withstand a drop from a second-story window with no damage to LP or jacket. Your LP should arrive in the same condition as on the day it was shipped. All used LPs are play-graded on a VPI turntable with Audioquest tonearm and Grado cartridge.
