Description

Original soundtrack album... signed on front cover by soundtrack recording artist  DIANA ROSS, named the "Female Entertainer of the Century" by Billboard in 1976.              And also signed by two of the movie's stars:  
           JILL CLAYBURGH, Academy Award nominee for Best Actress.  And...
          MICHAEL DOUGLAS, winner of two Academy Awards, five Golden Globe Awards, a Primetime Emmy Award, etc. It's My Turn: Music from the Original Motion Picture Soundtrack, a Various Artists Album. Released in 1980 on Motown (catalog no. M8-947M1; Vinyl LP). 
 
                TITLE SONG...  
          The song, written by Carole Bayer Sager (lyrics) and Michael Masser (music) for Diana Ross, was released as the film's soundtrack single on September 29, 1980, by Motown. It became a top ten hit on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at number nine, and at number 14 on the soul chart.
          THE MOVIE... 
          Written by novelist Eleanor Bergstein (her first screenplay) and directed by Claudia Weill (Girlfriends), It’s My Turn is the story of a love triangle involving Kate Gunzinger (Jill Clayburgh), a brilliant mathematician faced with a difficult career decision and her father’s remarriage; her live-in boyfriend, Homer (Charles Grodin); and Ben Lewin (Michael Douglas), a baseball star whose career suddenly ended in his prime. Ben is also about to become Kate’s stepbrother. They meet when Kate flies to New York for the wedding and her big job interview.
