Beautiful signed copy of the 1970 Paul Frees and the Poster People LP on MGM SE-4735. Signed by Paul Frees on the front, with a little message to a friend named Gus J…? Jelel? Hard to say. Anyhow Paul Frees, if you don’t know, was the voice of so many cartoons and silly records and rides at Disneyland that all of it can’t be counted. He was like the other Mel Blanc, a second Man of a Thousand Voices. He was the voice of the Ghost Host for the Haunted Mansion at Disneyland, as well as for the German parrot in the Tiki Room, and a couple of pirates in the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. He was the voice of Tony Tiger and Toucan Sam, as well as a million other things on television and in movies all during the 60s and 70s, particularly Disney stuff. Anyhow on this record he does a series of silly impersonations of various movie stars doing contemporary songs of the time. Peter Lorre doing Hey Jude, Boris Karloff doing The Look of Love, Humphrey Bogart doing Raindrops Keep Fallin’ on my Head, and so on. Just brilliant. The disc is in excellent condition and plays flawlessly and just beautifully, with a few light scuffs that don’t affect the play at all. The cover has some general wear with worn corners and edge wear in places… and general signs of use and age. The signature is in splendid condition and is very clear and clean. This is a beautiful Frees signature and a great copy of this record.
