DECCA Records F.12522. Released 18 November 1966.

First UK Decca demo pressing of the rare 7" non-hit single by 1966 Mersey Beat group SIGNS. Signs were formed in 1965 by the Cavern Club DJ Bob Wooler and split soon after their debut release.

Fantastic A-Side covered in 1967 by Paul Newman & The X'Calibers whose version is floor filler on the Northern Soul scene - this is the original earlier version with a big full sound.  The B-Side is a huge Hammond knockout British R&B track penned by Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller - awesome!!

I have owned this vinyl for decades and it was sourced from a 1960s record shop where it had been in storage. I have played it a few times and just play tested before sale on a high end Hi-Fi.

Both the A and B sides demonstrate superb audio, crystal clear sound, vocals and instruments all present and correct.

Visually the vinyl is bright and shiny. There are a few very light hairline marks to the vinyl when inspected under bright light / direct sunlight but nothing more. Both sides of the vinyl grade EXCELLENT +.

The DECCA demo label does not have writing or tears to it and the push out centre is intact.

I have taken lots of close up photos of the labels to show the superb condition of this item.  This 7" rarely comes up for sale and not in this condition. 

Shipped in a  plain white sleeve.
