SILVER STARS STEEL BAND rare ISLAND LP calypso funky Caribbean 1964 (ILP 904)
Rare original UK pressing LP from 1964 on Island Records (ILP 904), with white/red textured paper labels."The Silver Stars Steel Band, who have won the steel band competition at Trinidad Carnival two years running are considered by far the greatest steel band orchestra in the West Indies. Here they are presented playing the recent Carnival hits "Harry & Mama", "Love In The Cemetery", "Road On Carnival Day", "The Outcast" as well as a variety of their most requested numbers."
This is not your average Steel Band album; the tracks get a real groove on with some well funky drumming!
Comes in original front laminated flipback picture sleeve and has original plain paper inner sleeve.

Vinyl in very good condition. There is a light scratch in the middle of side 1 but this has hardly any effect on play other than just a couple of hardly noticeable ticks.
Sleeve in excellent- condition.
Inner sleeve in excellent- condition.
