Description
Les Sinners
" Chantent 24 Succes "
Jupiter JPL 11022, 1968 Canada Stereo
Hard to track down, limited edition 1968 re-packaging of the Sinners monster 2nd (Sinnersismes) and 3rd (Vox Populi) LP's.
Sinnerismes is a garage freak-beat monster boasting killer guitars, organ and percussion.
Vox Populi is no less than the Sinners' own Sgt Pepper......an eclectic concept album written by Francois Guy and Charles Linton featuring first rate pop-psych-rock songs with some weird time-signatures, Eastern influences (sitar, etc), spoken-word segments, cool production effects and lysergic Beatle-esque vibes.
All original compositions except for their great cover of "Penny Lane".
Charles Linton (vocals, guitar), Francois Guy (bass, acoustic guitar, vocals), James Quetrel (organ, piano, zither, harpsicord), Ernest Rock (guitars), Louie Quartermayne (drums, percussion).
Produced & arranged by the great Pierre Nolès
