Description
BLACK GATEFOLD COVER BOX containing FOUR Sisters of Mercy records. As far as I can tell, these are ORIGINAL pressings, judging from the writing in the trail off wax. I will describe each record in detail.
Records & jackets are in near mint condition (w/ a few slight flaws as noted). I don't think they have been played. Box is in excellent condition, with bumped lower corner, a bit of wear along edges & 2 small tears on edge of cover.
According to info recently received, it may be a German promotional piece, issued by WEA in the 1980's.
CONTENTS:
1).
Alice / Floorshow b/w Phantom / 1969 12" Merciful Release MR 021 Mar 1983 with "im westen nichts neues-jesus loves the sisters" "for spiggy(foreign field)" "mein irisch kind. wo weilest du?" in trail off. Says "made in France" on label. Cover has seam splits starting right & left, but is otherwise flawless.
2).
the Reptile House E.P. Kiss the Carpet / Lights / Valentine / Fix / Burn 12" EP Merciful Release MR 023 May 1983 with "for spiggy-paint it black" engraved in trail off. Has MR023 on the spine, NOT 'made in england'.
3).
12" Merciful Release MRX 027 1983 Temple of Love-Extended version/Heartland + Gimme Shelter with "for spiggy" "long live gonzoid amphetamine filth" in trail off.
4).
. 12" Merciful Release MR 029 T 1984 Body & Soul / Body Electric & Train / Afterhours with "for spiggy+alan vega" in trail off. Blue cover art. Envelope sleeve. Distributed by WEA. Slight wear at bottom edge.
