thelarch:
"This is Skaldowie at their most Beatlesque. The opening Malowany Dym is a perfect match of Revolver-period Beatles sound and the Podhale folk-lore melodics, and the title track Ca?a jeste? w skowronkach , despite the catchy chorus, betrays art rock ambitions with the vocal harmonies making the full use of the obligatory sustained fourths, Andrzej Zieli?slki's harmonic trademark.
The remaining songs range from an eerie Procol Harum-like Dwadzie?cia Minut Po Pó?nocy, through the truly hilarious post-Merseybeat ?eby Co? Si? Sta?o Z Nami with elaborate counter-melodies, to a music-hall pastiche Bas. Ecclecticism aside, the quality of the compositions is still fluctuating, but the golden age for the band is about to start with the next one."
If you are unhappy with my description, you have the right to return the LP within 7 days of receipt for a refund ( less postage ).
