"One of the earliest attempts at baroque-pop. The album is so deeply sunk in the Polish folk-lore and contemporary Polish pop, that it is very hard to compare it to anything from Great Britain, apart from the obvious Merseybeat inspiration behind the trebley guitar sound (the weakest element about the otherwise fine musicianship of the band). Some songs off The Move's debut are very similar in style, but Skaldowie released their album one year earlier. Of course, there were The Moody Blues with classical interludes on Days of Future Passed, but again, Skaldowie incorporated the classical influences into their sound on a far more organic level. There is every reason to proclaim this album a truly ground-breaking gem, and one might wonder why it has not been recognised as such."
