Description

This is an auction for the debut LP by Skip Bifferty simply entitled "Skip Bifferty" released by RCA Victor in the UK in 1968 catalogue number RD 7941. This is a very rare pressing in Mono with the first press matrix numbers of:
Side 1- WGBL 0029 T2-1K
Side 2- WGBL 0030 T2-1K
The lp also has the very first mother stampers of 1G and 1G and is in superb condition throughout.

The vinyl is in simply stunning condition. There is a lovely deep sheen with exceptionally clean grooves and it looks fabulous for a record that is 43 years old. Under a very strong light there are one or two very very light sleeve removal type marks but I am happy to grade the vinyl as visually in near mint condition, if not better.

The condition of the vinyl is reflected in the audio. The record sits nice and flat on the turntable and plays through without any skips or jumps. The sound is clear and vibrant and a real treat to listen too. There is one light pop during "inside the secret" on side 2 but the rest of the audio is mint. Overall an exceptional listen.

The labels are in near mint condition with one light spindle mark visible on side 1 only. This record has only been played a few times !!.

The first press Clout and Baker sleeve is in excellent ++ condition with some very light ringwear to the laminate and some very light signs of storage wear. The pinched spine is in superb condition and once again this is an excellent example for record that is 43 years old.

Overall a superb copy of this rare record.

PLEASE TAKE A LOOK AT MY OTHER LISTINGS FOR OTHER CLASSIC ROCK LPS.

I use the Record Collector guide to grade my records-see below

The Lp will be sent in professional mailers and will be sent in the Uk at a cost of £3.00. The cost of postage in Europe is £8.00 which includes international signed for delivery as mandatory . Please note that i combine shipping for multiple buys. Anyone bidding who does not have feedback will have their bid cancelled straight away. I am very sorry about this but again this is due to problems experienced in the past. Anyone without feedback and who wants to bid please contact me first.

Grading:- MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
