Skyeros - "Skyeros" LP. U.S. private pressed, six track, stereo, black vinyl LP on the Skyeros Production label from 1975. Item number USR 8637.

Side A: hub inscription: United 8637 A SIDE 1 783-472 A YIN (the N appears to be inscribed backwards).

Side B: hub inscription: United 8637 B SIDE 2 783-472 B YANG (the N appears to be inscribed backwards).

The vinyl is between VG- and VG condition. I can see a multitude of light hairline marks and light paper scuffs on both playable faces when viewed under an incandescent light source. Both center labels are clean.

I play tested this record completely and listened critically for any condition concerns that affected playback. Both sides perform closer to a VG or maybe even VG+ condition record in sound quality. The playback is loud, clear, and vibrant with a low noise floor. There are occasional light pops and spots of light crackling I can hear under the soundstage, but nothing that interferes with the musical presentation.

A good cleaning on a VPI record cleaning machine would probably eliminate that and lower the noise floor even further.

The cover is in decent VG condition. There is some light beginning ring wear on both the front and back covers. There is moderate to heavy edge wear on the head (top) and foot (bottom). There is an approximately 3 inch seam split in the upper right hand corner near the mouth (opening) and an approximately 2 inch seam split in the lower right hand corner near the mouth (opening). The spine is fully intact. This is in the exact condition I found it in.

I will answer any questions to the best of my ability concerning this item.

I know very little about this record other than it is an apparently rare release. I never heard of the band before. Below are a couple of  information clips I found to explain this title and band further.

"Close to impossible to find prog/psych lp and highly sought after by collectors. The band were from Farmington, Missouri and this is their only release.  It has never been reissued on vinyl or cd, but it definitely should be. Produced by Skyeros and recorded at Golden Voice Studio in Illinois."

The LONG and EXTENDED VERSION of buyer expectations

IF YOU ARE AN INTERNATIONAL WINNER, PLEASE WAIT UNTIL I’VE CONTACTED YOU WITH A TOTAL WITH AIRMAIL SHIPPING BEFORE MAKING PAYMENT.

All international winners of vinyl LPs or multiple items will have their items securely packaged, taken to a U.S. Post Office location, and get a direct airmail shipping quote to be added to their winning total.

All buyers, both foreign and domestic, are responsible for requesting extra shipping services for their packages prior to payment. Domestic packages can have insurance, registered, or delivery confirmation added to their shipping total. Foreign packages can have insurance or registered shipping added to their shipping total. These postal services ensure safer, trackable delivery of your package, especially internationally. If a winning bidder does not request special shipping services prior to payment, or if a winner fails to respond to e-mail inquiries for special shipping services, the total will be calculated, or the package sent with no special shipping services. Therefore, if the package is damaged, lost, or stolen once shipped without these special shipping options, the seller is absolved of all further actions, either in past, present, or future, regarding the package including any compensatory measures in any amount to the buyer.

In other words, if you don’t pay for registered shipping, insurance, or delivery confirmation, there is nothing I can do for you if your package becomes lost, stolen, or damaged in transit to your house. Please request the service if you believe it necessary.

Examples of Extra Shipping Services:

Delivery confirmation (domestic): add .80 cents

Insurance (domestic): add $1.75 up to $100.00

Registered shipping (international): add U.S. $14.50

It is the buyer’s responsibility to request any special shipping requirements for their packages such as insurance, delivery confirmation, registered mail, or any other requirement other than the normal shipping I offer in the listing for any item won through any auction. You know your regional postal situation best. If you think you need any of the aforementioned postal shipping services to ensure your package gets to you safely, PLEASE ASK.
