From  1973, out of Iowa, comes The Slightest Idea with their album Bring Your Own on Pit Records SI1019. Ultra rare psych album issued as a 100 press! The album contains nine songs and was issued as a tribute to their fans, as the group was breaking up. The album is mainly composed of good garage and psych rock covers. It is a highly recommended LP showing what was going on in Middle America while the rest of the music world changed! The vocals sound like they were recorded in one while the band played in the next room. They do Honky Tonk Woman (done in garage mode), It Don't Come Easy (also in garage mode), Roll Over Beethoven (done in heavy fuzz psych mode ),Smoke On The Water(done in heavy fuzzed out psych mode with a garage solo in the middle),Born To Be Wild (done in garage psych mode),We're An American Band(done in garage psych mode with fuzz),Are Your Ready? (done in a garage psych mode with fuzz and wawa), Brown Sugar (done in garage mode). The last song on the album is entitled Bring Your Own and is their original song. It is a 5:38 song of fuzz and wawa! Interesting stories abound about this group, such as when they were taken to dinner by a promoter who drove a big Cadillac, they were taken to McDonalds. This promoter was going to press the record and make a big deal of the,but only 100 were pressed! The band practiced in a burned out building and made the record as they were breaking up.

 This copy was obtained directly from the group 20 years ago and this is my last copy, which is from my personal collection! This may be your last chance to get this psych album!!  ORIGINAL!!!
