Description
SLIPKNOT Iowa DOUBLE VINYL LP with POSTER and INNERS Alt Nu Metal
Slipknot, Iowa.
2001 EU pressed Roadrunner Records two vinyl LP with poster and picture inner sleeves, housed in glossy silver gatefold sleeve, 12 085641.
By and large an acceptably clean and tidy set. The vinyl still has a good gloss and displays little in the way of spider trail marks around the spindle areas. LP one has approx. three visible white surface scuffs which appear as if someone has dragged a thumbnail across the surfaces. Although fairly prominent these do not run deep and otherwise there are just a few light and superficial surface scuffs. LP two is still glossy but rotating beneath a light source reveals a number of light hairline and other scuff marks. There is also a whitening circle which runs parallel with the grooves.
Playback is generally very clean and better than surfaces would suggest. Some light and low-level crackle is occasionally hear at run-ins and band separators and the (very few) quieter parts of the songs, but none of this is obtrusive, and there are no loud clicks or ticks. There is just one area of some consecutive scuffy type ticking right at the fade-out of the last track of one side, but this is short lived.
Labels are all clean and unmarked.
Inner sleeves have ringwear creasing around the outline of the vinyl and some very minor handling creasing, else are clean and without marks, tears or splits.
Poster insert appears to have been retained within the sleeve and has no evidence of having been displayed. Generally EX and with no handling creasing. There is just some very light furling creasing to one edge, presumably where the poster was pushed too far in and bent at the spine area. This is gentle and not marked. There is a piece of compressed type creasing measuring approx. one inch at the centre of the poster which appears to be from manufacture. However, the poster still looks very clean and tidy with these imperfections not detracting from apperance to any great degree.
Gatefold sleeve is overall still fresh and bright, and not tatty. No seam splits or scuffing to edges. Bottom left slightly knocked and visible diagonal creases to bottom right and left corners. A few light pinch line creases leading in from edge areas and some storage hairlining and minor scuffing. Entry sides are still crisp and not feathered. Main panels have no scrapes which break the surface, pen or sticker marks however. Inner of gatefold is clean and tidy.
