Description
SLY& THE FAMILY STONE.
COLUMBIA DEMO OF –
DANCE TO THE MUSIC
PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A DEMO.
No DB 8369 from 1968.
SIDE 1 DANCE TO THE MUSIC.
SIDE 2-LET ME HEAR IT FROM YOU.
In the 1960s I had a Saturday job in a record shop, as you can imagine most of my pay went on records, some times we Saturday girls were allowed to take our pick of the many demos & promos that were sent to the shop by the record companies. I have just rediscovered them after my parents passing; I would like to feel others would enjoy them as much as I have.
THE LABELS LOOK A LITTLT GRUBY BUT THIS IS IN THE PRINT? IT HAS “ELLIS” WRITTEN ON SIDE “A”(you can see this in the scan, it was the reps name.)
This record has a good shine with some marks, but it played well on my 1960s Dansette record player (It is fitted with a stereo cartridge) that I have also rediscovered. On my iPro deck there was some pop and crackle on the B side, but it was still a good sound.
Please be aware this may not be the case on very expensive equipment.
THERE ARE A LOT OF RECORDS AND I WILL BE SLOWLY SELLING THEM, MORE TO COME.
I FEEL I HAVE TO SAY SOMETHING ABOUT POSTAGE AND PACKING CHARGES NOW EBay HAVED IMPOSED A 10% COMISSION ON THIS COST, I ALWAYS PACK MY RECORDS IN THE VERY BEST WAY POSSIBLE, THIS IS QUITE TIME CONSUMING AND NOT WITHOUT COST.
I ALWAYS USE 1ST CLASS POST, THE P&P CHARGES ARE CLEARLY STATED WITH DISCOUNTS FOR MULTIPLE PURCHASES.
THE POSTAGE QUOTED IS FOR UP TO 2 SINGLES, ADD £1 EXTRA FOR BETWEEN 3/5.
Please note, certain countries outside EU, NORTH AMERICA, AUSTRALIA, & JAPAN, will require tracked postage at extra cost. If in doubt please contact.
Thank You, Christina.
