Genuine 1st Pressings are characterised by the following features:
1. LILAC not PINK labels - pink labels are 2nd pressings.
2. Inverted Matrix No.s on the labels (IMPLP 012 1Y & 2Y)
3. 1L & 2L matrix numbers in run-off groove
4. Label credits for the featured artists on Side 2. The second (pink) pressing omits these.
5. 1st Pressing covers have ‘UK PATENT APPLICATION NO. 21639/68’ on the rear of the ‘1lb Box’ section of the circular cover.
6. Clear circular polythene (with completely rounded edges) inner sleeve.
The record being offered here has all of the above features.
Cover: Unlaminated 5-section circular fold-out cover is excellent. No missing pieces. No writings/doodles. All the 5 sections are still joined together - usually these have separated because the joins are very fragile. The only thing that prevents a mint description is that the rear cover has a 5" tear which has been repaired. The circular polythene inner sleeve is present and is excellent. These polythene circular inner sleeves are often missing from this LP as they are also fragile and many owners threw them away and used paper sleeves.
Labels: Excellent. 1/R & 2/T very early stampers.
Vinyl: Heavy duty 1st pressing vinyl. Looks to be Very Good+ to Near Excellent. Light feathering and no significant scratches. Not played for around 30 years so would benefit from a light clean.
UK postage £3.50
EUROPE postage £5
REST OF THE WORLD postage £7
Mint - The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality.
Excellent - The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality.
Very Good - The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch.
Good - The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches.
Fair - The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise, it may even jump.
Poor - The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc
Bad - The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
