This is a superbly preserved copy of this rare British first press issue on the red DECCA label. Please read the detailed description and view the photos.

This LP is notoriously difficult to find in anything approaching original purchased condition because the cover is extremely flimsy and prone to creasing and finger staining on the unlaminated rear and the LP was played to death on teenagers' Dansette record players.

This copy is however an exception with a close to mint cover in EX+ condition and excellent vinyl with superb audio.

In more detail:

The VINYL retains its jet black mirror-like glossy surfaces with no greying and only very minimal signs of use at all. There are one or two extremely light whispey marks visible under bright angled light which do not sound. There are no nasty scratches and nothing that detracts from the awesome audio quality. There are a very few static pops and a tick on the run in to side one, four light ticks on track 3 side one but nothing else in the music. There is no crackle, no hiss, no clicks, no repeats or jumps - and nothing really to reduce this grade below EXCELLENT.

The LABELS have little signs of wear, only a couple of 'snail trails', no spindle hole wear and no writing or surface damage. Graded EX++.

The COVER is absolutely amazing for this LP. It is sharp, uncreased, with 100% readable uncreased spine and sharp opening edges. The corners are unworn and apart from a very minor 'ding' on the bottom left the front of the cover is near MINT. The rear is superb. Most copies of this LP are marred by a stained rear bowing signs of grubbiness and handling.  But not this LP. It's almost pure white and must grade EX+.

The LP has the original poly lined inner which is EX.

You will rarely find a better copy offered for sale.

I am a collector and I only sell records from my personal collection. I aim to be totally objective about the records I sell. However please note that unless the play quality is specifically mentioned records are graded visually. I aim to describe the visual appearance of all items accurately using the standards below which are based on the UK Record Collector Price Guide. The highest grade I use now is NEAR MINT. Records graded EX+ or EX++ would probably be called 'near mint' or 'mint' by most sellers. Please READ THE ITEM DESCRIPTION CAREFULLY and study photographs to avoid disappointment later. The item will not magically transform into a mint copy. I will refund only on items which do not conform to the description and standards set out here.

GRADING SYSTEM

NEAR MINT: The record appears to be in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and other inserts are perfect. For MINT grading see above

EXCELLENT: The item has been played and may have some light surface marks but there is very little, if any, lessening in sound quality. Cover and contents have slight wear.

VERY GOOD: The record has been played quite alot but displays no major deterioration in sound quality despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Cover and contents show some wear.

GOOD:The record has been played many times and the sound quality has deteriorated noticeably. The cover and contents are often damaged.

I use EX++,EX+,VG++,VG+ as subsidiary gradings. Unless the record is extremely rare I do not sell items which are less than VG in condition.

The rest of world is £16.50 for single LPs and £17.50 for doubles. This includes mandatory tracked postage. Rates for multiple copies and singles vary. International signed or Airsure. The charge depends on the weight so please enquire if you want this option, Items over £30 in value are recommended to be sent insured. I obtain a certificate of posting from the UK Post Office for all items. If an item is lost in the post I will claim on the buyer's behalf and reimburse when the Post Office pays compensation.
