THE SMASHING PUMPKINS' MELLON COLLIE AND THE INFINITE SADNESS (1995). ORIGINAL UK LIMITED EDITION (5000 copies) TRIPLE VINYL LP, NUMBERED -1301-
One of THE most sought after gems in the Pumpkins' back catalogue.
The sleeve is a bit frayed and the lyric book is marked with some coffee stains and charcoal dust, which I think lends this authentic relic of 1990s "alt rock" culture an individual character and charming quality - it has seen a lot of action in the 13 and a half years since its original purchase, and yet the vinyl itself has rarely been spun and remains pristine. It's a little sad to have to let this go as it carries many great memories, including that of seeing the band live in Manchester in 1996 on tour in support of this now classic album.

Having given the records a closer look and listen today, I must concede 'pristine' is not an accurate description of the vinyl - there are some scratches! There is a small skip near the beginning of the following songs: 'Porcelina of the Vast Oceans', 'Bullet With Butterfly Wings', and 'Stumbeline'; and one small skip during '1979'. The record pops and crackles as you might expect, but I need a new needle anyway.
Sorry to've mislead any bidders. It's still an inividually numbered collector's item however.
