Description
Original pressing, part of the same run as the numbered edition but with no number (see pic of blank space). Sleeve is in VG+ condition, some shelf wear particularly at one corner, see pic. Lyric booklet is NM. The record sleeves are generic line paper sleeves, I'll include those but I'm also throwing in some Mobile Fidelity sleeves, this album deserves them.
Please read the below and make sure you are OK with the condition of the record before purchasing. I'm just a guy selling records from his collection to get money to pay for significant pool repairs, so there are no returns.
Record graded as VG according to goldmine standards. I think most sellers would call this VG+, or even NM if they hadn't listened to it because visually the records look great. VG means the record has some audible pops and crackles, and occasionally you can hear surface noise during quieter sections. I don't mind pops and crackles, they just remind me I'm listening to a record.
But I understand different listeners have different sensitivities, so I listened to the records today and took notes:
Dawn - popping first couple of minutes, generally clean after with minor surface noise/occasional pop
Tea Time - strong popping first 30 seconds or so, generally clean after with minor surface noise/occasional pop
Dusk - popping first 30 seconds or so, generally clean after with minor surface noise/occasional pop
Midnight - popping first 30 seconds or so, generally clean after with minor surface noise/occasional pop
Twilight - fairly significant crackles first couple of minutes. By song two sounds clean, light surface noise.
Starlight - popping first 30 seconds or so, generally clean after with minor surface noise/occasional pop
The only thing that bothered me personally was the “strong popping” at the start of Tea Time. But you can see the pattern, each side starts out with some fairly consistent pops/crackles but quickly starts playing cleaner, with fairly standard surface noise/quiet pops throughout the rest of the side.
Couple things worth noting, I have not wet cleaned this record, only dry brushed for dust, a good wet cleaning may clear all this up. Also I run an Ortofon 2M Black, which is a great cart but unforgiving of surface noise.
