ERRATIC RECORD ERK-1 - S/80/CUS643 UK 7" PS

a very obscure SRT-privately pressed ep, fantastic and one the rarest DIY 1980-1982 releases, band is actually 2 brothers from KIRKBY in ASHFIELD -hence K.A. - (no relation to known US band SMITHEREENS) - this is very much like early Television Personalities (14th Floor and Bill Grundy ep) and the voice as well as the style is as close to Dan Treacy as it gets - reminds also of the great GROUT ep from 1979 - low-fi minimal punk with a bit of primitive synth tones. The 2 brothers are doing everything (guitar, bass, vocals, keyboards, percussion) and the result is really fascinating - top 10 rarity of the era in my opinion and I would be surprised if it's discovered that more than a hundrend copies were pressed. Flimsy hand-glued black & white ps has wear but they all look dirty anyway.
