Description

This is a very rare release by the great Russian pianist, Vladimir Sofronitsky. Scriabin's sonatas no. 3 and 9, plus Flammes Sombres, Guirlandes, and Vers La Flamme. This is such an obscure record I can't find any information about it. It is on the Russian MK label, released through the Artia Recording Corp.. the labels say made in the USSR and the cover says made in the USA. It is apparently a joint release of some sort. Not the usual MK label. Anyhow it is an early recording by this master and a very rare one. I don't see that this recording was released elsewhere.

The disc is in just about perfect mint condition. Looks unplayed. The cover is likewise nearly immaculate, with some minor signs of age and shelf wear. Hardly anything, though. No creases, edge wear, corner dings, or splits. Not even ring wear. A really nice copy, and maybe the only one that will ever turn up.
