Description
SOFT BOYS: VYRNA KOWL // THE FACE OF DEATH / HEAR MY BRANE (GIVE IT TO THE SOFT BOYS EP) RAW RAW-5 UK 1977 DOUBLE SIDED 7" MASTER ROOM ACETATE SIGNED BY ROBYN HITCHCOCK ON A' SIDE Historic and unique original 1977 acetate of a great debut punk release on Raw label by the Soft Boys (see the great 45 Revolutions book by Mario Panciera for full information on the band and the specific release). This acetate has 'Vyrna Knowl' on A' side (misspelled as 'Vyrna Kowl') instead of "Wading Through A Ventilator' and it was the initial version of the band's debut release 'Give it to the Soft Boys ep' on Raw Records (Raw-5). You can see that the A' side of the acetate was rejected ('NOT THIS SIDE') while the B' side was OK ('THIS SIDE PERFECT') leading to the replacement of 'Vyrna Knowl'

RAW RAW-5
UK 1977 DOUBLE SIDED 7" MASTER ROOM ACETATE
SIGNED BY ROBYN HITCHCOCK ON A' SIDE
Historic and unique original 1977 acetate of a great debut punk release on Raw label by the Soft Boys (see the great 45 Revolutions book by Mario Panciera for full information on the band and the specific release).
This acetate has 'Vyrna Knowl' on A' side (misspelled as 'Vyrna Kowl') instead of "Wading Through A Ventilator' and it was the initial version of the band's debut release 'Give it to the Soft Boys ep' on Raw Records (Raw-5). You can see that the A' side of the acetate was rejected ('NOT THIS SIDE') while the B' side was OK ('THIS SIDE PERFECT') leading to the replacement of 'Vyrna Knowl' with "Wading Through A Ventilator' on the actual release.
This acetate was signed by Robyn Hitchcock in the 1980's during one of his concerts in Athens when I presented it to him (he was really surprised too see it!) and it's 100% genuine, coming directly from the owner of Raw label and it's in nice condition too (for an acetate). I have put a reasonable reserve price on it.
