Description

4 sides, 4 long songs (18+ & 19+ minutes each one) by this British late 1960s prog jazz/rock band.  The band here is Mike Rutledge-organ & piano;  Hugh Hooper-bass, guitar;  Robert Wyatt-drums & vocal;  Elton Dean-alto sax & saxello(?);  Rab Spall-violin;  Lynn Dobson-flute & soprano sax;  Nick Evans-trombone;  Jimmy Hastings-flute & bass clarinet.    The first song (side one, totally) was recorded live at Fairfield Hall, Croydon, January 4, 1970 and also at Mother's Club, Birmingham, January 11, 1970.   I cannot tell where the splicing of tape took place, it is a seamless stream of sounds.....  great band.
