Made in France MPO 180 gram wide groove STEREO pressing. TWO LP GF set. The following recording equipment was used: 2 Neumann KM 256 microphones, 2 Telefunken V76 Mic-Preamps, mixed with a Neve Melbourn Console, EMT 140 Plate Reverb, Telefunken M10 a stereo 2-track tape recorder with 15 IPS speed with V86/87 tube amps. This album was recorded entirely live, capturing a coherent performance of every composition, just as the stream of mind in which the pieces were composed. Limited Edition of 500 copies.

The tube Telefunken M10A is - as Jürg Schopper explained to me - extremely fast, modern sounding... and its low end is deep and rich.
This Satie's discs are marvelous, indeed... musicianship is of highest level, BUT sound wise these discs are of stellar, seldom appreciated quality: the piano left-hand notes aren't commonly heard in commercial, multi-miked productions...
The inner cover notes shows an extract from Erik Satie's self-biography, a famous list of daily activities: let's not forget M. Satie was an esteemed exponent of Dadaism... the list weirdness sure provoking is in Dada's purest vein.

Overall, Parlic's performances find an ideal balance between stylistic integrity and interpretative individuality. Recorded completely on analogue equipment without any additional studio effects or post-processing, the producers have managed to capture her wonderfully vivid sound and ambiance that envelops the playing and certainly enhances the music. Enhanced by that glorious recorded sound, Parlic's playing has a real sense of communication, portraying these works with conviction and enthusiasm supported by a splendidly robust and fluent technique. These performances are memorable for her flexible phrasing and organic transitions from one composition to the next. This is an album of thoughtful, elegant and compelling playing by Branka Parlic.
