Double LP  Master Reference Acetates

ABKCO MPD-1

I believe this to be the US promo only sampler LP,  LP was produced in 1975 to promote the Abkco issues of the Rolling Stones back catalogue. It features 30 edited versions of popular Stones songs. This double LP acetate starts off with on LP one: Under My thumb and ends with Another Land. LP two starts with Jumping Jack Flash and ends with Honky Tonk Woman.  Both LP's have 15 tracks on each side.

I believe only 100-300 of the Promos were ever produced, so the acetate has to be less than 10 and I have never heard of another one offered for sale. I got this from a Manhattan record exec over 20 years ago and put in my collection till now.

The condition of both acetates are VG++ to Near Mint and both play excellent.

This is an excellent Rolling Stones Collectible and I am not sure if there are any other ones out there, although when they made these in the studios, they generally were given to the engineers and or artists to take home and listen to and see if any changes were neccessary for the final product ( LP )

Very cool, very rare, needs a good home.
