Description
You are looking at an unplayed BLUE vinyl LP of ‘Experimental Jet Set Trash and No Star’ by Sonic Youth on the Geffen label, issued in1994.
Immediately after purchase, I sheathed the album in a heavy duty clear PVC outer sleeve and replaced the cheap unlined paper inner with a high quality polylined paper inners. The album has been stored carefully ever since in my smoke-free home. I’ve never played it as I own the CD.
I would grade this record as Near Mint to Mint (as I say, it is unplayed, but I reserve Mint grading only for items that are still sealed in shrinkwrap). As for the sleeve, the laminate has reacted a little with the PVC outer (actually quite a rare occurrence, I have hundreds of sleeved LPs and very few do this), so some of the laminate on the front has spotted and stuck to the PVC inner, hence the speckling you see in the picture. There is also a 1.5 cm slash in the rear of the sleeve vertically over the horizontal barcode. So I guess you’d grade the sleeve as EX only. The inner sleeve is in fantastic condition as I’ve always keep the record itself in a polylined inner, as stated above.
This is, of course, a very rare record, now over twenty years old and I’d say the best thing about this lot is that the vinyl is unplayed. Finding an unplayed copy is quite a task for any collector.
The record will be supplied in the PVC outer sleeve. Check my feedback from other buyers who have bought vinyl from me recently for an idea of the quality of my goods and service.
Please note that I do not sell outside the UK under any circumstances, so please don’t waste your time or mine by asking. Many thanks!
