SONNY BERMAN – JAZZ IMMORTAL 1946 – ESOTERIC ES-532 – VG+  MONO

This original Esoteric LP contains the material recorded on January 23, 1946. The personnel includes Sonny Berman and Marty Markowitz on trumpet, Earl Swope on trombone, Al Cohn on tenor, Serge Chaloff on baritone,  Ralph Burns on piano, Eddie Safranski on bass and Don Lamond on drums. SIDE A: DOWN WITH UP (Woodchopper’s Holiday) and CIRETOSE (Sonny’s Blues.) SIDE B: HOGHIMOUS, HIGGAMOUS (Sonny Speaks Out) AND THE SLUMBERING GIANT. This is a Mono recording.

I have rated this LP as VG+ due to the following conditions. The vinyl on both sides appears to be M-, as I cannot find any marks on either side. There is no sign of wear around the spindle hole on either side. The LP cover has some wear as there is a taped top right corner and a taped bottom right corner. There is some wear on the spine. If the cover was in slightly better condition, it would have nee rated M-.  This is a Mono recording. If you have any questions, please email me and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
