SONNY BOY WILLIAMSON - "DON'T SEND ME NO FLOWERS", Marmalade (607004) 1968.
This is the very rare original 1968 LP featuring the last recording session made by the late, great Sonny Boy (II a.k.a. Rice Miller) just before he left the UK for the very last time in 1965. Whilst not quite his best effort in terms of pure blues, this unique LP has many merits on so many other levels and really captures it's star's irrepressable spirit, which at 72 was still as strong as ever. Also with a band including; Brian Auger, Jimmy Page, Joe Harriot and Alan Skidmore, it is a successful fusing of Blues with Jazz and 60's Rock... but if you bidding on this record I don't really need to tell you what you most probably already know!

This record has been professionally cleaned on my MOTH record cleaning machine.
CONDITION:
VINYL = EXCELLENT++ (In normal daylight I could not see any marks or imperfections on the vinyl, under my bright grading lamp I could just make out a couple of incredibly faint surface marks/paper scuffs - but these do not translate into any kind of interference/noise during playback. There is no surface noise, no groove damage, no clicks, no pops, etc - hardly ever played, if at all and stills plays perfectly - strong, clear and clean. I did actually find this LP in a classical music collection, the owner of which could just about remember buying the record but had no recollection of ever listening to it or why he bought it in the first place. Note: I have thoroughly tested this record in my Linn LP12 turntable (which is generally quite critical test) and stand by my grading and description, although I cannot guarantee exactly how it will sound on your turntable. Sorry to be so uptight, but there are some very daft people out there!)
SLEEVE = VERY GOOD (As my picture shows, I really can't call this any better than VG. Although neither torn, nor defaced this sleeve is creased in a few places, with a tiny split and bit of delamination along the spine. Although searching the net for other copies of this record, I did notice that nearly everyone had some delamination in this area so I would gues that it is a fault at manufacture as much as wear and tear. For further clarification, please check out my photos)
NOTE: It's probably worth noting that we are an actually physical record shop trading for over twenty years, with literally decades of record grading and trading experience under our collective belts. Unlike so many of the self-proclaimed experts and have-a-go-heroes that currently clog up ebay, we know how to grade records!
