At one time, this was one of the holy grails of record collecting, because it was one of the few, ( if only) releases on the short lived Checker off shoot of Chess Records....But this is simply a great blues album regardless and shows why Sonny Boy II was truly one of the greats...The LP looks awesome, still very clean, the label (see picture) shows some play-wear, but it still in great shape..This 57 year old Mono LP plays cleanly with no scratches, but there is a definite underlying surface noise, louder in the (few) quiet passages.... its there, but in no way does it diminish the listening experience, in my opinion.VG+ with that caveat..The cover has a few tape repairs on top and bottom seams, but someone did a decent job of it, and the outward? seam (see photo) looks fine...also someone wrote 1-18-60 on it just above the rear Checker logo on back (see photo)...Great album, I hope it goes to a good home....Shipping ( in sturdy cardboard mailer) is 4.00 in the US Media Mail...Returns are accepted, satisfaction is guaranteed...thanks for looking...have a good one....
