This one is a mono issue of Sonny Clark's The Sonny Clark Quintet. LNJ Series. Issued, between 1966-77, on Blue Note/Toshiba-EMI Records in Japan LNJ-70093. No insert and OBI. The is an original issue (found only in Japanese editions). An unissued version of an original recording session(s) by Rudy Van Gelder. No material had been issued in the US version before on LP. This is an original issue.
Jackie McLean (as), Art Farmer (t), Paul Chamber (b), Philly Joe Jones (d) on Side 1, Recorded in 1958. Clifford Jordan (p), Kenny Burrell (g), Paul Chamber (b), Pete LaRoca (d) on Side 2, Recorded in 1957.
The vinyl looks and plays perfectly like new. No scuffs and no scratches. Vinyl is bright and glossy. Grooves do not show any wear or damage and look unplayed or nearly so.
The cover is VG++ due to small spots on the back and a few on the front. Sharp, bright, and shiny. No split. The spine is intact and readable.
The record is play graded as well as visually. I attempt to grade conservatively, listing all significant flaws.
My grading is as follows: M (perfectly like new), NM, VG++, VG+, VG, VG-, G, G-. You will be satisfied. And I will accept a free return. Please bid with confidence.
