SONNY CLARK: Cool Struttin', US MONO Blue Note 1588 LP, late 50s. Superb early pressing, this copy have 47 West 63rd – NYC labels, one side has the 'Inc' and the R. So this copy features the 2 earliest label variations for this LP. Both sides have the Deep Groove, the RVG stamp, the 'ear' and the 9 M etching, all markings of a very early pressing, however the earliest possible pressing wouldn't have the INC and the R featured on this side 2 label. Given the rarity of this LP, not many copies could have been pressed with the earliest labels (on both sides), so still with this copy you get very close to the master.source. COVER is the earliest variation, with the Blue Note Records, 47 West 63rd New York 23 writing. So far so good.

VINYL is very nice VG+. On side 1 there are two long inaudible hairlines plus a few light, barely visible & completely inaudible marks. Also there is a very light short 6 mm hairline causing some light subdued clicks. Overall this side plays brilliantly Near EXCELLENT, only let down by the few clicks caused by the light scratch. The overall sound is nearly completely noise-free. Side 2 is even better, has a few light marks, but plays strong EXCELLENT all the way, being visually VG++. Overall superb looking and playing vinyl, the best playing copy I have had of this rare LP.

COVER is EXCELLENT, in real life I haven't seen a better one. Has a tiny bit of the upper right corner missing. Minimal flake in lower right corner. Back cover superb, with small area of discoloration. Back spine perfect, lower and upper spines near perfect. For me this cover looks nearly as good as it gets – and with a super nice playing disc, this is great indeed!

• MINT- is superb, almost like new. No marks, scratches, clicks, noise, or anything else.
• EX is also VERY nice, 2-3 light marks perhaps, no disturbing noise, great sound quality.
• VG+, a nice player, but probably has some visual impairments, and some clicks or light noise in places; always see the individual description.
• VG: Rarely put of for sale, an ok copy, but always see the individual description.
