Up for bids is an original Stereo Jazz LP by Sonny Clark called "Leapin' And Lopin'" on Blue Note Records. BST 84091. 1961.
ORIGINAL PRESSING WITH "43 West 61st St., New York 23" ON BACK OF COVER'S BOTTOM-CENTER, AND WITH "NEW YORK USA" ON BOTH LABELS.
Probably pressed around 1963.
Both labels have the "?" symbol.
Front of cover is laminated.
Matrix (or trail-off) numbers have a stamped "RVG STEREO" and an etched "BNST-84091?A' " for Side 1, and a stamped "RVG STEREO" and an etched "BNST-84091?B?" for Side 2.
Comes with original Blue Note Records inner sleeve with the "43 West 61st St., New York 23" address at the bottom of one side. It is in VG condition.
Cover and Record grading below:
The grades I use are Mint (rarely used grade), Near Mint, VG+++ (rarely used grade), VG++, VG+, VG, VG Minus, Good+, Good, Fair and Poor.
Cover is in VG to VG+ condition. There is some wear on front and back. Back of cover has some staining around the edges and some writing on it. Top of cover, close to spine has some fraying. Top and bottom corners at opening both have 3/8" splits. Spine is all intact. Still a real strong, sturdy and nice looking cover!
I would rate the record’s condition as VG+. Has some minor marks that don't greatly affect play. Side 1's label is very worn (probably from water). Record still sounds great on my player; like a classic Blue Note should!
May make a great gift for any Sonny Clark or Jazz LP fan!
