Description
Please read my description carefully before bidding. I will ship the item worldwide and will accept free return if it doesn't match the listing description.
This one is the first mono and deep-grooved pressing of Sonny Clark's SONNY'S CRIB. With JOHN COLTRANE. Blue Note Records BLP-1576. A 12 inches LP. This is an original issue from Blue Note Records, released in 1958, not a reissue version of Classic Records or Analog Production.
With "EAR" and "RVG" stamped on the dead wax of both sides. No "R" and no "INC" on both sides. Recorded and mastered by Rudy Van Gelder.
Address on labels: "BLUE NOTE RECORDS 47 WEST 63rd NEW YORK 23".
The cover is also the 1st version cover with Address on the back cover as follows: "BLUE NOTE RECORDS, 47 West 63rd St., New York 23".
Artists: Sonny Clark (piano), Donald Byrd (trumpet), John Coltrane (tenor saxophone), Curtis Fuller (trombone) Paul Chambers (bass), Art Taylor (drums).
On Side 1, the vinyl plays very fine except it get stuck during the middle of song number 2. On Side 2, the vinyl plays through with small tics during the middle of song no. 1. Overall, music on both sides are still very nice (except song number 2 of Side 1 which it get stuck).
Under the bright light, the vinyl still looks bright and shinny with one long scratch on Side 2 (see picture) which produce small tics during the middle of song no. 1 (not overpowering music at all), and a deep but very short scratch on Side 1 which cause the stuck.
The cover is VG+. Strong, no split, but have just small crack of around 1 inch at the lower right corner and paper loss at the upper left corner. Some yellowish and small sticker on the back cover.
The record is play graded as well as visually. I attempt to grade conservatively, listing all significant flaws.
My grading is as follows: M (perfectly like new), NM, NM-/VG++, VG+, VG, VG-, G, G-. You will be satisfied. And I will accept a free return. Please bid with confidence.
