Sonny Rollins, one of jazz's great tenors, is heard here at his peak with a pair of piano-less trios (either Wilbur Ware or Donald Bailey on bass and Pete La Roca on drums) stretching out on particularly creative versions of "Old Devil Moon," "Softly As in a Morning Sunrise," "Sonnymoon for Two," and "A Night in Tunisia," among others.
Not only did Rollins have a very distinctive sound but his use of time, his sly wit, and his bop but unpredictable style were completely his own by 1957. Truly magical.

Clean, unmarked labels with just one spindle trace on Side One and none that I can see on Side Two

Both surfaces are clean with some marks/hairlines but none of these have any effect on the sound

Fantastic sound quality - clean, crisp and immediate and my play-check at volume found nothing of note to fault.
No loud clicks, ticks or pops, groove wear or distortion and all-in-all a really beautiful playing copy
