SONNY ROLLINS SUPER-RARE 'SAXOPHONE COLOSSUS & MORE' FACTORY SEALED DOUBLE GATEFOLD LP! SPECIAL 1975 PRESTIGE REISSUE
This is a compilation, and an incredible package, of three major sessions from 1956, all with both Sonny Rollins and Max Roach:

Side 1 and first two selections on Side 2 were originally released as Sonny Rollins - Saxophone Colossus (Prestige 7079). Recorded June 22, 1956. 
Added to this special package was "The House I Live In", originally issued as part of Sonny Rollins - Sonny Boy (Prestige 7207); the balance of sides 2 and 3 included on Sonny Rollins Quintet With Kenny Dorham And Max Roach - Rollins Plays For Bird (Prestige 7095). Recorded October 5, 1956, and Side 4, which was originally issued as part of Sonny Rollins Plus Four (Prestige 7038). Recorded March 22, 1956.
OF NOTE: THIS LP IS FACTORY SEALED! WHILE I CAN'T CONFIRM THE SPECIFIC MATRIX NUMBER(S) OR PRESSING PLANT, I DO BELIEVE THAT THIS IS A PITMAN PRESSING BECAUSE ALL OF THE MAJOR PROMOTION RECORDS BEING SHIPPED TO ME IN THE MID 70'S BY ATLANTIC OR PRESTIGE WERE, IN FACT, PRESSED AT PITMAN. SO, I AM CONFIDENT (ALTHOUGH I CAN'T CONFIRM) THAT THAT IS THE CASE HERE. MEANWHILE, THERE ARE NO HOLES OR CUTOUTS. THE ALBUM IS STAMPED "NOT FOR SALE - PROMOTION USE ONLY."
