This is the first edition, 1957, RVG, DG, Mono, "P" pressing of SONNY ROLLINS' "Sonny Rollins Vol. 2" on the "47 West 63rd New York 23" labels of BLP 1558. Musicians include Sonny Rollins, J. J. Johnson, Horace Silver, Thelonious Monk, Paul Chambers, Art Blakey.>
VINYL plays with consistent low level surface noise (i.e, static, ?? or ????, relative to the volume of the music/instruments), with occasional pops and ticks (occ. repeating). But instruments are very clean, very strong, very dynamic and full of tone. Very dynamic vinyl plays well. No distortion. No locked grooves. No Skips. OK gloss. Handful of feelable marks and scuffs. The "47 West 63rd New York 23" labels are clean with spindle marks. See photos.
LAMINATED COVER is in good condition, corners a little worn, some laminate peeling. Top seam and spine cracking, no splits, seem to have been treated with black marker. Taped lower seam. "BLUE NOTE RECORDS, 47 West 63rd St., New York 23" back jacket shows aging, marker, stains, tape on lower seam, see photos.
This LP was play tested. RECORD CLEANED ON AUDIO DESK SYSTEM ULTRASONIC VINYL CLEANER.
