Soup -- Soup LP

Original 1970 US private pressing on no label (catalog # NONE, blank labels, matrix numbers: #1A / #1B), in plain white cover.

Relatively rare and excellent blues rock/psych LP from Appleton, Wisconsin, USA. Influences seem to be Buffalo Springfield, Quicksilver Messenger Service, Ten Years After, Allman Brothers, Byrds, Bob Dylan, etc.

The live track "I'm So Sorry" is a a side-long intense blues rock epic with emotional and killer guitar sounds... It culminates in an extended crescendo of screaming dueling guitars. VERY intense. The sound of this original pressing is far more superior to that on the Akarma reissue.

Recorded at Jewel Studios, Ohio and at Chess Studios, Chicago, Illinois and at Target Studios, Appleton, Wisconsin. Side 2 recorded live at University Of Wisconsin.

Blank labels and blank cover, no band name or songtitles anywhere, identified by listening to it. Some copies came with an info sheet, this copy doesn't have one. The cover is actually not totally blank, you can just barely read some backwards writing from the other side of the front slat, it appears they used a poster or other record covers or something to construct these cover.

CONDITION: Cover VG++ / Vinyl VG+   excellent shape, vinyl has some playwear and some light surface scratching but still sounds great, looks VG+ but plays better than that.

Graded conservatively using Goldmine standards [G / G+ / VG / VG+ / NM / ]
grade only used if record is brand new.

All records are packaged securely, protected by both stiff and cushion packaging, with vinyl (in original innersleeve) removed from cover and placed safely in poly sleeve to help prevent seam splitting during transit.
