Constantin-Kazimir Regamey (Konstanty Kazimierz Regamey) - (1879 - 1938) - Ukrainian pianist and music teacher of Polish origin. Graduated from the St. Petersburg Conservatory, student of Anna Esipova. He also took composition lessons from Reinhold Gliere. In 1936 he organized the State Ensemble of Polish Folk Song and Dance of the Ukrainian SSR in Kyiv. The ensemble's repertoire included folk songs arranged by Regamey, four of which were recorded and released by the Noginsk Record Plant in 1937. In the same year, a number of members of the ensemble, led by Regame himself, were arrested by the NKVD for spying for Poland. On January 12, 1938, he was sentenced to capital punishment. His son - philologist, orientalist, musician, composer, and critic Constantin Regamey.
