Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto in D Major
(Capitol SP 8512 UK LP 1960)
This is a UK original Stereo LP pressing. It has a front laminated flipback sleeve which has a large "Stereo" on the front (Garrod & Lofthouse). It comes with its original polythene-lined "Emitex" company inner sleeve. This is in Excellent condition.
The record is pressed on thick vinyl & has "rainbow-rim" Capitol labels. These are grooved also. The matrix numbers are as follows: SP1 8512-D12 and SP2 8512-D18. This is a genuine 1960 UK 1st pressing. These are quite rare.
Sleeve: There is some mild to more moderate rubbing wear to the top edge. There are a few small bits of rubbing wear to the bottom edge also. There is some fading to the rear also. VG+ condition.
Vinyl: There are some light to very mild sleeve rubs which can be seen under a strong light, and a couple of very small hairline marks. NEAR EX condition. The labels are very nice and clean & show very mild spindle wear. Plays Excellently overall. Really well indeed.
Grading adheres to “Record Collector” specifications. I shall use good quality packaging (proper vinyl mailers & two card dividers).
Postage for 1 LP in the UK is £4.50. You can add one extra LP for free (up to the weight of 1kg).
Postage for 1 LP in Europe is £6.50 to £7.75 (depending on weight). Add £1.25 for each additional LP up to 2kg.
Postage for 1 LP for the rest of the world is £7.75 to £11.25 (depending on weight). Add £2 for each additional LP up to 2kg.
Insurance is necessary if this item exceeds £30. Overseas buyers will add £5.50 extra (plus an additional £2.50 if the item value exceeds £70).
