Spacemen 3- "The Perfect Prescription"

Original pressing of the second Spacemen 3 LP on Glass Records - released in 1987.

This is a copy of the Spacemen 3's classic second LP - generally considered to be their best. This is the original pressing that was released by Glass records in 1987. It's a very rare item - the Spacemen 3 weren't exactly selling records by the bucketful when this came out, so you're more likely to find the subsequent re-releases on Fire (1989), Genius (1995) or Taang! (1996).

Released on Glass records, 1987, calaogue number: GLALP 026.

Condition:

Excellent - vinyl is unmarked and cover has some minor corner creases and mild ring-wear.

Shipping and postage

I pack all my records in extra strong, re-inforced DefendaPack record mailers. These are self-locking corrugated cardboard mailers - much stronger than the usual record mailers. I also pad records with a layer of bubble wrap to help guarantee that records are not damaged in any way in the post.

This does make my postage rates slightly more expensive as the packaging costs £0.50 per record - however, I can discount postage rates for multiple purchases:

UK: £3.49 for up to two LPs or one double album.

EEC: £4.49 for up to two LPs or one double album.

Rest of the world: £7.99 for up to two LPs or one double album.

Record grading

I use the standard Record Collector Magazine scale for grading records:

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.

FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced.

POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
